4th Trimester Retreat: Enjoy & Delight in Early Motherhood
September 30 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
It takes a village they say…
But so many of us left our villages a long time ago and no longer remember the address.
The reality is that we are now living in environments where we don’t live close to our families and don’t really know our neighbours (and if we do, we don’t have anything in common with them or we’re all too busy to learn each other’s names!).
Or they want to give us their advice whether we ask for it or not.
It can be so hard to hear your inner voice above all the traffic.
That’s why myself, Nutritionist Jo Atkinson and Women’s Health Physiotherapist Alison Wroth, have started the Urban Motherhood Project. To help new (and older) parents living in our modern, fast-paced environment to connect with likeminded people around them, to find the support they need to help grow joy in their parenting experience.
And we are so excited to announce our first event for expectant and new mums.
The 4th Trimester Retreat: Enjoy & Delight in Early Motherhood
We believe there are 3 things new mums need to focus on to help them with life after birth.
1. What their baby’s needs are.
2. What their own needs are.
3. What their pelvic floors needs are.
Pip Wynn Owen (Certified Childbirth and Early Parenting Educator, Registered Midwife and Mum of 4), Jo Atkinson (Nutritional Medicine Practitioner, Mum of 3 ) and Alison Wroth (Women’s Health Physio, Mum of 2) will be facilitating this 4-hour workshop to cover all 3 of these plus give you lots of time to talk and a yummy morning tea.
